Apostle Aderemi Olabamiji Agboola was born on October 27, 1951, in Igbajo, Osun State, Nigeria. His father, Daniel Tomiwa Agboola, hailed from the prestigious “Ile Oba Nla” compound in Igbajo, while his mother, Janet Awoboade Agboola, came from a royal family in Offa, Kwara State. This heritage reflects his rich cultural roots in two prominent towns and states, hence he remains a proud Yoruba man. Aderemi began his educational journey at African Primary School in Igbajo. He later attended schools in Ilobu and Iree, Osun State, completing his primary education at Baptist Day School Iree in 1967. He then proceeded to Kiriji Grammar School in Igbajo, where he completed his secondary education. During his youth, Aderemi demonstrated exceptional leadership and artistic skills. He served as the band leader and Drama Group leader at African Church, Igbajo, and coordinated the Billy Boys Orchestra. Occasionally, he accompanied his mother to the Christ Apostolic Church, Igbajo, where he honed his skills in playing the Samba drums.

Driven by a desire for a better life and higher standard of living, young Aderemi Olabamiji Agboola aspired to venture beyond Nigeria’s shores. His exceptional musical and artistic talents emboldened him to leave Igbajo for Ibadan, paving the way for his overseas dreams. Upon arriving in Ibadan, he was introduced to the Celestial Church of Christ by Assistant Superior Evangelist Oluwole Oladejo Adetiran, the Music Director of CCC Worldwide. Under Adetiran’s guidance, Apostle Remi Olabamiji underwent spiritual nurturing at Yemetu Parish, where he was encouraged to participate in “Isona.” This period of spiritual growth ultimately led him to CCC Army Barracks Road, Mokola, Ibadan.
